Martin Basher


Rory Donaldson received his BA from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1986 and his MA from University of Ulster in Belfast, Ireland in 1987. He attended the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program in New York in 1997-1998. Donaldson’s work has been exhibited extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe, including a solo exhibition at Winkleman Gallery, New York (2008) and Royal Scottish Academy’s 183rd Annual Exhibition, Edinburgh, U.K. (2009), where he was short listed for the prestigious Morton Award. As a Scottish artist living in New York, Donaldson draws on his cultural heritage as a basis for his artistic investigation.
